As Chairman of The Monmouthshire Referee's Association this was an evening Edwin, Kay and their family  will never forget, along with myself and all that attended. It made myself feel very proud and honoured that Edwin from our Association was receiving this award. Edwin's commitment not just to our Association but all the other Refereeing Associations and years of Match Officiating over many decades is second to none and a credit to the work, commitment and effort Edwin has put into the development of Match Referee's and football administration within Wales.

Congratulations Edwin on this richly deserved award from our President, Vice Presidents, Life Members, Officers, Committee Members & Members of our Association.

I must also take this opportunity to thank Mr Robert Rosen & Mr Alan Dack for their time and effort in organising the event for Edwin, Mr David Tennant for the kind donation of his car and to the staff at St Mellon's Golf Club.

I would also like to thank our Sponsors "The Gwent County League" for the Menu Cards & Caerleon Cleaning and Property Services for the wine on the evening.

Last I would like to thank our Honoured Guests, and the various Refereeing and Football Associations, Family and Friends of Edwin in attendance this made an evening a great success.
